at&t iphone data plan help?

I’m getting my first iphone when the iphone4 comes out my question is the data plan. I plan using it a lot for like facebook,twitter,email and various other websites and since i’m not home most of the time i figure i will be on the internet a lot. My question is would the 200mb data plan be enough? Is the 2gb plan overkill or is there any chance that won’t be enough?
for new at&t customers they don’t offer unlimited anymore or i would. it’s either 200mb $15 2gb $25 or 2gb with tethering for like $45

Honestly, unless you use WiFi *a lot* or hardly use the internet at all, you’ll want the 2gb option. Luckily, I have the unlimited option, but I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t use that any more.

I just checked my statement for last month, and I use just over 500mb on the data plan. I have gone over 2gb in the past when I was travelling more and needed to access the internet on the go. I don’t think I have ever really gone below the 500mb.

I don’t know if you’ve ordered your iPhone 4g yet, but there are some companies that are offereing a free iPhone 4G in exchange for testing / reviewing it for them. That would help offset some of the cost of the 2gb data plan.

Anyways, if you plan on using FB, Twitter, etc a lot, you’ll definitely want to get the 2gb plan since it is only $10 extra per month.
